St. Mary's Youth and Community Centre

St Mary's Youth and Community Centre is a voluntary youth organisation that provides a full-time youth work programme.

The Youth Centre was established in 1967 to promote the benefit and development of children and young people aged 7-25 years in the Tullamore area and its environs in Offaly.

We aim to educate and assist children and young people as they make the difficult transition to adulthood by providing for their physical, mental and spiritual development.

Mission Statement:

‘St. Mary’s Youth Centre is about providing a safe environment for young people of the area to meet in an atmosphere which encourages them to develop as mature adults.  We discriminate against none, our policy being one of integration across the social divide.  We seek to empower young people to develop their talents through games, musical productions, group interaction, competitions, debating, trips etc. under the guidance of a core voluntary group of leaders.  While youth is our priority St. Mary's Youth Centre is also available to various community and sporting groups.’
